yea, as most of you read my previous post, i've been trying to go for a mission trip to Nepal, and yea, i am going..

Now u may ask, "y are u going?" well, its because i've been feeling that it is wat God wants me to do..i remember last year i felt d same way when d trip was about to be held, but i allowed coll to be an excuse not to go..honestly, i dont really like d idea of going to a place that could possibly have no running water, and im a VERY picky eater..so yea, that stopped me from going..but this year, i found that all those reasons are just a blockade for me..its the Evil One's way of stopping me from going..so this year i decided to go, and yea, i got some disapproval from my dad because d trips is in d middle of my sem, and i will be missing a week of classes (which is a chapter for 2 subjects) but still it got me thinking..are we supposed to only serve when it is convenient for us? of course, my studies are on the line here, but i've been praying about this trip, n dont get me wrong, i want to do well, i DO care about my studies, but i feel that this is what God wants me to do now..

so please pray for me and the others on the team..we will be going to a village where we will be teaching children and teens english (from what i've heard, they need help with pronouncing words) but im sure we will try to help them learn more..

thats all, so please pray for me, my next update would be after the trip..which would be 1st of july..

although its a movie quote, it does have some depth to it..

think about it..there is ALWAYS a choice..ALWAYS..well, as some of u will argue, "no, just say that u have to pay off a huge debt u owe a loan shark, so u have to work 3 or 4 jobs.." well, ya, but there is still ALWAYS a choice..based on that senario, well, d way i can see it is, u can choose to work, or choose to not work..it is still a choice..

HOWEVER, its the implications that undelie d choices we make that is important..human beings are really remarkable creatures..we are able to plan n organize a sequence of events that we predict will happen if and when we make those decisions..so again, based on the senario above, IF we were in that situation, and we had a choice, we will naturally choose to work off d debt, y? because our brains are tuned to choose the best way which causes us the least or no damage to our well being..k, it is kinda based on psych theories, but i dont want to go into that..if you are interested, look at Freud's psychoanalytic theory..(btw, if ur thinking, whats with d loan shark analogy, well i just watched Ah Long Pte Ltd, so ya, it was interesting..)

anyway, im not saying that we should actually spend a lot of time to consider all d options, like based on the senario, u dont have to think about not paying, cuz it will lead to dire consiquences..(unless ur able to run away, and that is really difficult) but, we should try to not make such decisions soo automatic..like in the movie, Rise of the Silver Surfer (apologies to those who didnt watch d movie, u might want to skip this part) Susan Storm tells the Silver Surfer that there is always a choice after he says that he had no choice and had to do wat he is doing in order to save his planet or himself (i cant remember). so ya, there is ALWAYS a choice..

So, when we are in a situation where we HAVE to do something, like, "I HAVE to smoke cuz my friends wont talk to me if i dont.." " i HAVE to go have a drink to relieve stress.." " i HAVE to watch that movie because its a hit.." and so on, think about it, there is ALWAYS a choice..u dont HAVE to..think about the values of the things that u are doing..is it the right thing to do? is it what Jesus would do?

yea, i apologize on that..its d power of my procrastination..anyway, been busy as well, cuz its a short sem, so everything is a rush..anyway, some news, traded in my blues..n i really miss it..haha..Gonna miss it..my 54 year old sash! (dunno if it is actually 54, but its really faded, so i like to think that its 54 years old..) ^

anyway, im trying to go for a mission trip from 21st june till the 2nd of july, and its kinda in d middle of my sem..so if God really wants me to go, then there shouldnt be any complications..currently i need to find 2k for d trip and also need to be able to catch up on my lectures..

also this year, ive become a big man u fan, as in i went out n bought jerseys just to watch d finals of the Champions League finals..haha..it was worth it..so currently my jersey count is 3..

On the topic of football, most ppl noe that the Euro's are going on now..(yes, i say MOST..i noe ppl who didnt noe about it) so watching one of the replays of the portugal match, i realized that i actually like Ronaldo..d match felt like i was watching a man u game..so now im hoping that he doesnt move..haha, n interestingly there is a portugal game tonight..so for this Euro, im hoping that portugal, spain, holland, and the czech do well..

btw, i want to get a pair of headphones, but i want it to be good..been using a pair for like 4 years, n this i s d condition that its in now..n still being used..

yea, sad rite? well, this is how poor ppl live..( before u say anything, im poor..my dad is rich..thats d difference)

o, also there was one day where i had to drive in a flood..which really was ok..when i tell others that i did that, they were like, " werent u scared?!" i just said, "no"..haha, i find this weird..y? cuz i cant seem to generate or calculate the impending or possible danger i could be facing..y? cuz im d kind of guy that needs to go through d problem to fully understand d situation..anyway, d water levels werent sooo high..i would say it was just as high as d exhaust..so ya, it was dangerous to drive, but i figured that if u keep moving at a consistant speed (not too slow) u should be able to move..well, u cant really move really fast rite, so i was at a max of 2nd gear..which is just right..anyway, it was ok, then there was a driver infront of me who was a total idiot..k, i say that d person is an idiot cuz d person decides to hit the breaks in the flooded area, which caused me to slow down, n that almost caused water to enter d exhaust..k, u might be thinking, "but d person might have a good reason to break wat?" well, i would say, NO..just breaks for no reason.. there was no one crossing d road, there wasnt a port hole, there wasnt a stalled car..ish..almost caused me a problem..d car was quite weak also, so i had to rev it really hard when i changed gears..

How bad d rain was that day..(haha yea, taking pics while i was driving..was only in 2nd gear, so it was ok)

well, thats all for now, haha, will try to update more often..its like, very busy now..short sem..o, btw, im applying for an intership for my term break after this sem, so im hoping that i get chosen..
